The Northern Alaska Environmental Center records contain administrative documents as well as subject files relating the various environmental issues the Center has engaged in since its creation in 1971. The present collection is a merger of two collections: the Fairbanks Environmental Center Papers and the Northern Alaska Environmental Center records. The Fairbanks Environmental Center Papers represented the Center's organizational records from 1971-1979 and had previously been arranged and described. These papers have been incorporated under Series II of the collection.
